The Little Red Hen
The Little Red Hen
Once upon a time, there was a little red hen who lived on a farm with her friends, a lazy dog, a sleepy cat, and a noisy duck. One day, the little red hen found some wheat seeds and decided to plant them.
She asked her friends if they would help her plant the wheat, but they all refused, saying they were too busy and had better things to do.
Undeterred, the little red hen planted the wheat all by herself. As the wheat grew, she asked her friends if they would help her cut it, but again, they all refused.
So, the little red hen cut the wheat by herself and asked her friends if they would help her grind it into flour, but once again, they refused.
The little red hen ground the wheat into flour by herself and asked her friends if they would help her bake it into bread. And once again, they all refused.
So, the little red hen baked the bread by herself and when it was ready, her friends suddenly became very interested. They could smell the delicious bread and begged the little red hen to share it with them.
But the little red hen refused, saying that they had not helped her with any of the work, so they did not deserve to share in the reward.
From that day on, the little red hen continued to plant and harvest her wheat, cut it, grind it, and bake it into delicious bread, but her friends never offered to help her again.
The little red hen learned that hard work pays off and that it's important to share the rewards with those who have helped. And her friends learned that if they don't work, they don't get to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
